Greetings from the President!

Hello Shipmates;

2014 is coming to an end and your committee is well into the final planning stages of your next reunion in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Our reunion in Danvers this year was a great success and fun time for all. We enjoyed a Clambake at Woodman’s of Essex, and tours of Rockport, Marblehead and Salem and the reunion ended with our Memorial Service at the Boston Bell at Charlestown and lunch at Faneuil Hall.

While this year has seen the loss of many famous people like, most recently, Robin Williams and people from the earlier eras like Mickey Rooney, Shirley Temple or Casey Kasem, this year has also seen the loss of many USS Boston Shipmates from all eras. Life is short, seek out a shipmate and say hello every chance you can!

I am excited about the 2015 reunion in North Carolina as it is the USS Boston Shipmates, Inc. 30th reunion and also the 60th Anniversary of the World’s 1st Guided Missile Cruiser. I can’t wait.

I look forward to seeing each and every one at next year’s reunion.  If you have never attended a USS Boston reunion please make an effort to come to this one, I know that you will not be disappointed.

Have a very happy, healthy holiday season and a Happy New Year.

Barry
President / Secretary
USS BOSTON Shipmates, Inc.
