There are two kinds of people reading this page: those of you who know that your husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister... will be home tonight, like clockwork; and those of you who have known the sweet heartache of a loved one being away from home for an extended period, then finally returning. The Navy family knows well what it's like to see their Sailors (whether they wear khaki or blue, they're SAILORS) leave for months at a time.
In July of 1998 125 USS BOSTON men departed their home port to take part in an extended UNITAS deployment under Navy orders. On November 16 those men returned home. We were there to greet them.
